Vivvi ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Vivvi mobile application (the "App"). Please read this policy carefully. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

When you use Vivvi, we collect the following types of information:

Account Information

When you create an account, you provide a username, profile photo, and bio. This information is stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to our servers unless you choose to sync or back up your data.

Content You Create

Videos, captions, and comments you post are stored locally and may be shared publicly within the App based on your settings. Uploaded videos undergo a brief content review before being made publicly visible.

Device & Usage Information

We may collect device identifiers, model, OS version, app version, and usage analytics (e.g., features used, session duration) to improve the App. This data is anonymized and aggregated where possible.

Device Permissions

The App requests access to your photo library (to select videos for upload), camera (to record videos), and microphone (to capture audio). Access is granted only with your explicit permission and can be revoked at any time in your device settings.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the App and its features
  • Enable video upload, sharing, and content review
  • Display your profile, videos, likes, comments, and follower/following relationships
  • Process in-app purchases and manage coin balances securely via Apple In-App Purchase
  • Allow content promotion via our Boost feature using coins from your balance
  • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, or policy violations
  • Send you service-related notifications (e.g., content review status, purchase confirmations)
  • Analyze usage trends to enhance user experience

3. Information Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information only in the following circumstances:

  • Public Content: Videos, comments, likes, and profile information you share publicly are visible to other Vivvi users within the App.
  • Service Providers: We may share data with trusted third-party providers who assist in operating the App (e.g., analytics, payment processing through Apple), under strict confidentiality agreements.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental regulation, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or the safety of others.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

4. Data Retention & Storage

All user data — including videos, profile information, and preferences — is stored locally on your device in the App's private Documents directory. We do not maintain a cloud server for user data. You can delete your content at any time through the App. We retain anonymized, aggregated analytics data for up to 24 months for product improvement purposes.

5. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include:

  • Secure local storage using iOS's standard file protection mechanisms
  • Encrypted transmission for in-app purchases via Apple IAP
  • Content moderation checks on uploaded videos before they become publicly visible

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Children's Privacy

Vivvi is not intended for users under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information promptly. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has used Vivvi inappropriately, please contact us at support@vivvi.com.

7. Your Rights & Choices

You have the following rights regarding your information:

  • Access & Edit: You can view and update your profile information, username, bio, and avatar at any time through the App's Profile and Edit Profile screens.
  • Delete Content: You can delete your videos and comments from within the App. Deleting your account will remove all locally stored data associated with your account.
  • Block Users: You may block other users, preventing them from interacting with your content or viewing your profile.
  • Revoke Permissions: You may revoke camera, microphone, and photo library access at any time through your device's Settings app under Privacy.
  • In-App Purchases: All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests should be directed to Apple via the App Store.

8. Third-Party Services

Vivvi may contain links to or integrations with third-party services, including:

  • Apple In-App Purchase: Used for processing coin purchases. Apple's Privacy Policy applies to all IAP transactions.
  • Analytics: We may use third-party analytics tools to understand how the App is used. These tools may collect anonymized usage data subject to their own privacy policies.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before using those services.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, features, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you through the App. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
